Tai Chi for Health
Tai Chi (Taiji) is a famous art practiced by millions around the world for health and wellness. Originally a martial art, Tai chi can be used as an exercise to enhance mind-body well-being. This program will focus on the health and relaxation aspects of the art. Foundation exercises and warm-ups are taught first. Students will learn a Tai Chi solo form based on the short Yang system.
Warm Ups
Warm ups are done at the beginning of every class. They are designed to gently stretch, open, and loosen all major joints of the body.
Solo Exercises
Solo exercises are designed to relax and strengthen the body. These include standing and stepping exercises.
Form
Form is the choreographed sequence for traditional Tai Chi practice.
